Biography
Amirul Syafiq is a Legal Associate at Messrs. Puvarasan & Associates, where he focuses on delivering strategic legal solutions to criminal, civil, and family law matters. Called to the Bar in October 2024, Amirul combines academic excellence with hands-on practical experience, demonstrating a strong commitment to advocacy and justice.
A First Class Graduate of the Bachelor of Laws and Shariah [LLB.(S) (Hons.) USIM], Amirul was honoured as Tokoh Pelajar Fakulti Undang-undang dan Syariah 2021, reflecting his leadership and academic distinction.
Amirul has developed a robust foundation in Criminal Litigation, assisting in high-stakes cases involving charges under the Penal Code, Dangerous Drugs Act, Financial Services Act, Anti-Money Laundering Act.
In Civil Litigation, he has assisted in general civil claims, probate matters (contested and uncontested), tenancy disputes, judicial reviews, and guardianship applications. His experience extends to Family and Matrimonial Law (Non-Muslim), including drafting divorce petitions and settlement agreements, and employment disputes, where he assisted in cases involving unjust termination and retrenchment.
