Biography
Amirul Syafiq is an Associate at Messrs Puvarasan & Associates. Admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in October 2024, he has handled more than 70 matters across the Magistrates' Court, Sessions Court, High Court, Court of Appeal and Industrial Court.
A First Class graduate in Law and Shariah from USIM, he was named Tokoh Pelajar Fakulti Undang-undang dan Syariah 2021.
His criminal practice covers the Penal Code, the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and white-collar offences under the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007, the Financial Services Act 2013 and the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001, including High Court forfeiture proceedings.
His civil work includes construction and LAD disputes, property and trust claims, defamation, execution and insolvency, probate, tenancy, guardianship, non-Muslim divorce, and appellate and judicial review matters. Before the Industrial Court, he acts for employers and employees in dismissal and retrenchment references.
